Your trusted professional designer, founder of VM Designs. Vanessa is passionate about collaborating with private clients, as well as local builders and architects, to deliver an exceptional design experience. She specializes in transforming homes through custom designs that blend beauty, function, and timeless elegance.

Based in The Woodlands, TX, Vanessa also serves clients throughout the greater Houston area. She approaches every project with passion, precision, and a genuine dedication to creating spaces that elevate and enhance everyday living.

Besides having a natural eye for all things design, Vanessa is a seasoned, multifaceted Interior Designer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Design and 10+ years of experience in the Residential Design + Build field. She brings together creativity, technical knowledge and hands-on project management and coordination, mastering every phase of the process—from concept development, material sourcing, and client presentations to scheduling, on-site supervision, and blending design vision with practical execution to deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with client goals.

Bilingual, personable and rooted in her European heritage, Vanessa brings an innate appreciation for sophisticated, timeless design, craftsmanship, and detail—elements that influence her refined yet approachable aesthetic.

Having started her career in the graphic design world, Vanessa’s background gives her a strong sense of visual composition, color, and proportion. Her passion for photography also enhances her ability to visualize spaces, capture balance, and tell stories through design.

In her commitment to offering exceptional value, Vanessa is dedicated to ongoing growth through webinars, continuing education and design+build events, both locally and across the U.S.  She has also had the opportunity to travel multiple times to Europe, including attending Milano Design Week, where she visited high-end showrooms, connected with industry experts and renowned brands, explored innovative materials, and brought back fresh ideas and trends for her clients. 

Even before graduating, she gained valuable insight working for a lighting fixture manufacturer, an experience that deepened her understanding of how lighting shapes color, form, and texture.
